Hi i am making myself a EMG amplifier but i could not understand why you guys placed one 28Mohm resistor from each input to ground. Can you explain me better this cumulative charge problem? And do you think this could works with a 10Mohm resistor? Just to make it more clear the resistor goes from the +/- diferencial inputs to ground right?

thanks

fefenin:

I don't think it would work out very well. For one thing, the EMG amplifier is designed to pick up signals from electrodes implanted into the muscles, not just recording from the skin surface. I doubt very much you'll be wanting to do that.

Second, Jeff explained to me at the time that the muscle innervation pulses for vertebrates (such as humans) are very much more complex than the simple pulses found in insects.

Maybe it's possible, but it's way beyond anything I'd care to attempt, nor would I be comfortable giving any advice on the subject.

hi,
would it be possible to get a schematic from the electrode to the usable signal for one channel?

i would like to try to control a webcam with the movement of my head (neck muscles)

great job anyway's

No, I'm afraid not. I've occasionally thought about getting into that as a business. But then I think about how much I would probably hate running a business.
