{"id":849,"date":"2023-05-16T10:18:16","date_gmt":"2023-05-16T15:18:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thegatesofdawn.ca\/wordpress\/?page_id=849"},"modified":"2023-05-16T15:14:17","modified_gmt":"2023-05-16T20:14:17","slug":"retro-computing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.thegatesofdawn.ca\/wordpress\/retro-computing\/","title":{"rendered":"Retro-Computing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Some of the more unusual antique\/obsolete computers in my collection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/wordpress\/retro-computing\/sol-20-terminal-computer\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"\/wordpress\/retro-computing\/sol-20-terminal-computer\/\">Sol-20 Terminal Computer<\/a>: A late-70s 8080-based machine, with integrated keyboard, video output, and S-100 expansion bus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwiajJ_bj_r-AhV5pIkEHdoJDy4QFnoECBIQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FMagnavox_Odyssey_2&amp;usg=AOvVaw03l21DMgS5vaECPxCBpKSG\">Magnavox Odyssey II<\/a> &#8211; Never booted up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IBM_PCjr\">IBM PCjr<\/a> &#8211; Never booted up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Macintosh_XL\">Apple Macintosh XL<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Apple_Lisa\">Apple Lisa<\/a> &#8211; Not sure which one it is.  Never booted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/ICON_(microcomputer)\">CEMCorp ICON + Lexicon<\/a> &#8211; These were a government-funded boondoggle used on Ontario high-schools in the late 80s, early 90s.  Most have been destroyed since then.  It has been booted, but I wasn&#8217;t able to log in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BBC_Micro\">BBC Micr<\/a>o &#8211; A friend shipped me one of these from England.
