Retro-Computing

Some of the more unusual antique/obsolete computers in my collection:

  • Sol-20 Terminal Computer: A late-70s 8080-based machine, with integrated keyboard, video output, and S-100 expansion bus.
  • Magnavox Odyssey II – Never booted up.
  • IBM PCjr – Never booted up.
  • Apple Macintosh XL / Apple Lisa – Not sure which one it is. Never booted.
  • CEMCorp ICON + Lexicon – These were a government-funded boondoggle used on Ontario high-schools in the late 80s, early 90s. Most have been destroyed since then. It has been booted, but I wasn’t able to log in.
  • BBC Micro – A friend shipped me one of these from England. I’ve never tried booting it.

  1. I would be very interested in any software you might have for the CEMCorp ICON. I recently modified my ICON so it runs standalone with a Lexicon hard drive and I’d love to have some software to see what it can do and demonstrate it. For now, I only have the stock QNX software. I would REALLY appreciate any info you have.
